JILL
I lived in my own quiet realm, content within the fragile walls of solitude.
Then he entered my life like a blinding storm of light, fierce and beautiful as lightning split across the heavens.
I feared him, yet he tore me away from the beliefs I once held sacred.
When I finally thought I had found someone to call my own, fate revealed its cruel hand.
I do not wish to let him go⦠but I want him to be alive.
But one cannot possess both life and love without sacrifice.
So I surrendered my heart to fate and let it play its game upon my soul.
DRAVEN
She trembled like a startled doe when our eyes met.
But then I beheld the wild, caged fire within her gaze, yearning to break free from the walls the world had forged around her.
Desire took root in me the moment my eyes caught the light.
I wished to shield her from the phantoms that haunted her heart.
Yet she turned away, surrendering herself to those very ghosts, leaving me amidst the ashes of heartbreak.
I could endure no longer, so I offered myself to the blood and ruin of the battlefield.
